The Cudy WR1300 is a dual-band AC1200 router that covers the essentials properly: gigabit wired throughput, dependable Wi-Fi 5 coverage and a genuinely useful software feature set for the price.
It delivers up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with four fixed high-gain antennas, MU-MIMO and beamforming to hold connections steady across a typical home or small office. All five Ethernet ports are gigabit — one WAN and four LAN — so wired devices aren’t bottlenecked by the router itself.
Where the WR1300 stands out is what’s built into the firmware. Cudy Mesh lets you add compatible units later to extend coverage under a single network name, and WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec VPN clients and servers are included at no extra cost. It also runs as an access point or range extender, is managed from the Cudy mobile app, and is OpenWRT-ready for anyone who wants to go further.
