The 15-inch MacBook Air with storage doubled to 1 TB. Apple SSDs are soldered at manufacture and cannot be added to afterwards, so the choice between 512 GB and a terabyte is permanent — and a terabyte is what keeps a photo library, a music collection and a few years of documents on the machine rather than on an external drive.

The chip is the M5 with a 10-core CPU, the full 10-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine and 153GB/s of memory bandwidth, alongside 16 GB of unified memory. The 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display runs 2880 × 1864 at 500 nits, and the six-speaker system with force-cancelling woofers is a genuine step up on the 13-inch’s four.

MagSafe 3, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. A 12 MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, and a 66.5 Wh battery rated up to 18 hours of video streaming. Fanless, so it stays silent under load, at 1.51 kg.
