The same 16-inch MacBook Pro configuration as the silver model, finished in Space Black — Apple’s anodisation that resists fingerprints far better than the darker finishes it used to ship. Under it sits the M5 Pro: an 18-core CPU built from six super cores and twelve performance cores, a 20-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine and 307GB/s of memory bandwidth.

That combination is aimed squarely at people who edit, compile and render for a living. It handles multi-stream video, large builds and heavy audio sessions comfortably, and only work that is genuinely GPU-bound justifies stepping up to the Max. This unit carries 24 GB of unified memory and a 1 TB SSD.

The display is a 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR at 3456 × 2234 with ProMotion to 120 Hz, 1000 nits sustained and 1600 nits peak. Ports are three Thunderbolt 5, HDMI, SDXC, headphone and MagSafe 3, with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and the 100 Wh battery is rated up to 24 hours of video streaming.
